Very helpful

Very Informative, at every level, when a Hurricane is approaching your area. ...

Hurricane ap

It is to early in season to review hurricane capabilities but rest is great and I enjoyed the quiz section.

Crashing

When you try to open this app it just crashes. It needs to be fixed.

Cannot be trusted (updated 5-Jun-2016)

The Alerts are unreadable due to faint font. There is no option to select a color you can actually see. The map does not show any weather except a hurricane track. It doesnt matter which overlay you choose - the entire U.S. is totally cloudless, rainless, wind-free - none of which is true according to the NOAA. I stopped giving to the Red Cross. USELESS!

Must have

Its multi functional use, ability to email others who may wish to know, and accuracy is superior to anything on the market

Too many, way too often repetitive

Too many, way too often repetitive alerts...becoming a nuisance, its ludicrous. Other than that, its an average app.

Crashes

Crashes shortly after opening. Cant set it up.

Font color horrible

The grey color and small size of the alert font is very difficult to read. Text should be black on white NOT grey. Too little contrast. Basic web development 101. Combined with the font size, reading alerts on an iPhone is near impossible. Information and everything else is great but of little use if you cant read it. Please fix this.

This app + ARC Tornado: Worth Having

Although my county also has a weather event text message alert system that makes the ARC apps a little redundant, I like having these apps. Their biggest downcheck is that they are dependent on having some kind of data access, either cell or wifi. Thus, if you have no data plan, and youre not presently camped out at home/Starbucks/Panera/etc, well then, you get to be surprised when the tornado blows you & Toto away to Kansas. On the other hand, the apps provide some level of training & prep guidance. Also the built-in on-demand sirens are good for waking the kids up.

Could be more useless

Cant edit alerts, received "ad" for blood donation in "this time of need", there is NOTHING happening; no natural disaster, no man-made disaster, no storms. Make your own choice, mine thinking of deleting.

MCPO

Dont get it is total crap. It locks up and will not open or update. Tried to delete so I could reinstall, it wont even let me do that. Down load something else anything else but not this one.

Amazingly Helpful

My family is getting a beach house, and I figured this app would be helpful enough. But it was much more then expected. I got free information that could help save my family, my friends, and my life.

Helpful tool living in Caribbean

Really helpful for tracking hurricanes, their paths, and projections and also for identifying Red Cross shelters in case of emergency. I only dont like that they dont put the name of the storm on the tracker. It just says the status. Some features arent really super useful on a regular basis, but the tracking feature is nice.

Tried

Even the review page doesnt work. Wouldnt take my nickname and wouldnt go back to correct. Develop before publishing.

Hurricane by Red Cross

This is very good at telling whats coming!!!

Well its good but has issues

Like being informed but a notice every 10 minutes for a storm that is 2 days away and may not impact us? Come on! Scare tactics from the media are expected but this?

Used to like this app, but...

When I first got this app, I really liked it. But every time they do an update on it, I like it less and less. They do alert me every time a storm status is updated, but its just a quick and short notification on my screen. When I go to the app to get more details, I can only get the same blurb with the same very limited information. Yes, I like that I can use the Tracker tab to see where the storm is at that moment. But I want to hv more detailed info about the alerts and storm track position updates. I used to be able to get that with the app originally.

No...

It repititevely just keeps sending you the same message over and over again

Safe and useful perfect for a Hurricane app

This app has useful details and Keeps up-to date tracking and RED CROSS is the National best System in this World GOOD JOB

Simple and straightforward

Shows you hurricane paths, clouds and windspeeds, and its easy to figure out when a hurricane is predicted to be at a particular place and at what time.
